GPM Asia is committed to operating in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. Mineral sands mining uses electricity only and the waste output from the process is pure clean sea sand. Although these operations do not pollute the environment, most often mining territories have ecologically sensitive surroundings and contain fragile ecosystems existing on poor sandy soils. After a deposit is exhausted our Company takes full responsibility for intensive rehabilitation of the mined areas including re-vegetation with similar species and re-contouring of the initial landscape.
